February 2013

I honestly can't remember a single  blog worthy thing happening in February. I went back to work, and struggled with school. Cason worked on his writing, and lilli, was lilli :)

We had a fun visit from the holloways. Lilli LOVES cousin Dylan! (And cousin Lucas too).

We had a low key valentines day, with a few fun gifts.

AND... I think that about sums it up! Sheesh, that was a quick one!

January 2013

Ok, here we go.
This could be long and painful for everyone involved- but I have to have some kind of family record, so I have to try!

January:

January was COLD, and snowy. Definitely the snowiest I've ever seen it in boise. Lilli loved every minute of it, whenever we went outside she would insist on throwing snow at us and at the car.

I started the year off with continuous UTI's which was miserable, and made school nearly impossible. Luckily, I was on leave from work for hurting my knee, and had lots of time to rest and snuggle!

I went to physical therapy twice a week, which I hated...and found mostly useless.

I celebrated my 25th birthday with Johnny Carino's, and cheesecake from Costco. I also got my beautiful iPad from my wonderful husband! Our laptop had recently broken, so we were definitely in need of it! I also got an exercise bike from my in laws to help strengthen  my knees. All around, it was a pretty great birthday!

The BEST thing that happened in January, was the birth of our little nephew, Lucas. We love him so much, and are thankful to have him in our family!

Lilli's Littles

If something happened yesterday, an hour ago, or a year ago she refers to it as "Last time a couple of go's"

She sings non stop. It's usually her own creation, but lately it's been "row row row your boat"

She got a leap pad for christmas and didn't touch it at first, but is now obsessed with it.

If she wants to do something she'll say, "can we do (this) for a couple minutes?"

She's constantly complaining of wedgies, but she calls them "itchies"

She hates pants. I finally cut the tags out of all of her pants thinking it would help, but...not so much.
(oddly enough, she wouldn't take her pants off this day)

She insists that Cason's favorite color is blue even though it isn't. Today she said, " Daddy, you're favorite color is blue. But you don't like blue...but is is your favorite color"

If she doesn't want to do something she says "No I am not!!!!"

She loves snow and throwing snow at the car, also she seems to think that Grandma Dotson has something to do with when it snows??

She "doesn't like food, she only likes treats"

She likes to watch "A LOT of shows"

She usually doesn't take naps anymore but still gets really tired around 4 or 5 every evening.

She talks talks talks talks talks talks talks. It's exhausting... but hilarious.

She doesn't sneeze, she "bless you's".

She loves to tell me stories, they almost always start with "once upon a time" and end with "...stand on your head"

She wants to be a dog not a person. She spend at least half her day pretending to be a dog. Playing fetch, licking/biting me, etc. Luckily she told me that she wants to keep using the potty, because only real dogs pee outside.

She loves her cousins. She says she loves cousin Lucas, but Cousin Dylan is her favorite. (She's a little unsure about the whole newborn baby thing).

2012

Well, since I was the worst blogger ever last year, I figured the least I could do would be a little recap post... here we go:

January 2012: We started the year with Cason's family in Bountiful, Utah. When we got home, we bought Lilli a potty, and us a  new couch...both were kind of a waste of money.

We also celebrated my 24th birthday, and the 1st (and only) snow of the season.

February: Cason and I kept busy with school, and we had a laid back Valentine's Day making cookies.

March: Lilli had her fist haircut, had a coule sleep overs and Uncle Vinnie and and Aunt Jana's house, and we made a trip to Utah where we went to the Hogle Zoo.

April: Lilli decorated Easter eggs for the fist time, and we celebrated my mom's birthday and Easter with my side of the family. We also potty trained Lilli... in less that a week!

May: I went back to work at Target, and Lilli enjoyed her (almost) big girl bed.

June: I worked (too much) and went to the zoo. Lilli decided she was a dog, and played fetch all day.

July: We spent a wonderful Independence Day with my family

and then went to Ashton Idaho to spend a few days with Cason's family, we went tubing and had a blast!

We also got to play with Ashley and her little one's at the splash park in Rexburg.

August: Lilli had her fist dentist appointment (no cavities!) And we celebrated her 3rd birthday with a super fun Lego party!

September: Cason and I started another Semester and celebrated his 26th Birthday

October: We geared up for Halloween (our favorite holiday) with pumpkin carving, decorating, and going to the farmstead. We had lots of fun with Aunt Jana and Uncle Vinnie...until Lilli peed in the corn box...oops!!

Later in the month we went Trunk or Treating with my parents, and Trick or Treating on the big day. Lilli Monster had fun... for about 20 minutes. She didn't end up with much candy, but at least she had a good time.

November: Lilli and I attended Jana's baby shower (Lucas will be here soon!!), and had fun at Dylan's 1st birthday party.

Cason and I were in charge of the pies for Thanksgiving, we had a fun low key day, before Black Friday. My mom and I worked a 10 hour day, but it really wasn't that bad.

December: The stress of the semester and work got much worse when I hurt my knee. I had to take a leave from work, but it did make it so we could surprise Kelli in St. George for her 50th birthday, and spend Christmas with all of Cason's family.

So there's a (very) brief review of our year! I'll try to be a better blogger in 2013!!!
