February 2014

February felt so long...I thought it would never end.

On the 2nd, one of Cason's favorite actors, Philip Seymour Hoffman died. So while the rest of the country was watching the Super Bowl, we had Cason's sisters over for a movie marathon.

and I finished unpacking the house, and did the majority of the decorating. We also got to know the area a little better. Cason started his treatment for his OCD. He's doing really well, and this is a very exciting time for our family. However,  since his doctor is about 40 minutes away, and he sees her almost every day, I spend most of my time at home with Lilli. It's nice to be able to relax a little bit more, but I'm getting bored. We're trying to figure out a way to keep both of us girls busy and happy while we're stuck at home! I go to the same doctor about once a week to work on my issues with depression, and Lilli comes sometimes too. It looks like she also has OCD,so we're hoping to be able to help her now so that she can live a happy and healthy life as she matures.

One of the best things about where we live, is that it's close to my sister's house. It's really nice to be able to hang out with her from time to time, and Lilli loves playing with her cousin Dylan!

Lilli took on an alter ego this month. Her name is "Monster Friend". She crawls, growls, and occasionally uses baby talk. It's mostly just Lilli playing pretend, but we've also noticed that she uses it as a coping mechanism, and turns into "Monster Friend" when she is uncomfortable with her situation. Moving is hard on kids, but we still know that it was the right thing for all of us!
(This is "Monster Friend")

On Valentines Day, Cason and I went out to dinner in Bountiful, while Lilli stayed with her Great- Grandma. Cason also bought Lilli and I our own bouquet of flowers- it was so sweet! And Lilli of course made cards for everyone, that girl loves to craft!
